Save the world... what you can do!

How can you help the environment and save money??? Well, during the winter months if you turn the furnace down even 2-3 degrees than it would normally be set at your doing quite alot. Your reducing the cost of your heating bill, helping the environment; and though it may be cold, with the money you save on heating bills you'll have an excuse to by a cute new sweater and maybe some fuzzy slippers! Now, is there anything you can do in the summer? YES there is! Kepp your air conditioning low, or even turn it off. Your saving money, and if the heat is getting to you open a window, take a cold shower, and drink some ice cold lemonade. Plus, with the money that you saved on air conditioning you'll have extra money and an excuse to by some shorts, tank-top, and flip-flops... or even a new swimsuit. Oh, yeah if the heat is really getting to you, hit the beach! As you could probably guess, the winter furnace rules apply to the fall also. And summer applies to springtime, which is comming soon (: now race to that thermostate and go save the earth! (:

Ok, so i've been doing a courtyard progect at school latley... and my group has been working on compost. I chose to do the research... so i found some intresting facts! Compost makes your flowers more prettyful! It helps them to grow strong and healthy, it also makes them grow faster. Compost is good for the environment, unlike most fertalizers... You can make your own compost at home or you can buy it... but that can be pricey. There are two different types of compost, the frist is by using compost bins and allowing organic materials to decompose natuarlly, The second is verma compost, which is when worms break down the organic materials... what they poop out is called compost. ok, i know it sounds gross, but it really isn't... so get over it. Soon i'll hope to post more facts on how you can compost at home! (=

Hello! Here are todays green tips! These tips are simple and easy, you can use these to help be Green at home!
- Use energy efficent lightbulbs! These are great because they use less electricity. They may be a bit priceier, but the mney they will save you is worth it... they also last longer than average lightbulbs!
- Flick Off! It's soo easy to just flick off lights when they aern't in use, plus it uses less energy and you may notice a decrase in your electrical bill!
- RECYCLE! It is soooo easy to just toss that empty water bottle into that blue bin, or that broken down carboard box, or that glass bottle, or that empty milk carton, or, well... you get the idea! Dont know what you can recycle? GOOGLE SEARCH??? You can find info. on almost everything.
Well, those are some simple tips that everyone at home can use to be more GREEN! I really hope you consider using them. All of us can do our part to help!!!
